Every time there is a Fashion Show in Puerto Rico where it involves giving proceeds to a charity and using plus size models I try to be there. I heard about a great Fashion Show called Ruins Night Runway. It was held at the Botanical Garden in Caguas, Puerto Rico a beautiful place surrounded by beautiful gardens on April 21, 2012. I contacted Israel Nieves one of the promoters along with David Rodriguez of production David Rodriguez Inc. to see if I could cover their event and they were so gracious telling me that they would love it. The proceeds would go to a home for orphan children (Portal de Amor) this idea was given to Israel by his beautiful daughter, who is also a model. I arrived there and it was magical, I went with Designer Nelly Trinidad and Designer Yolyne Negron and I can tell that we got the royal treatment.

There were 12 designers among my favorites was Jose Luis Victoria who has been designers to stars such as Gloria Estefan and Beyonce, a charming and humble man. Some other designers were Arquelio Rivera, who used Plus Size Models, Juan Diaz and Juni Montijo among others. I just loved it and cannot wait for another event like this so I can be a part of it. Congrats to Israel and David for giving us such an amazing event!
